Margaret LeDane Health & Nutrition Coach
Margaret LeDane graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College with a BA in Biology. She received her training to practice as a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.
Margaret has learned from some of the very best doctors and nutritionists in the world including, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Barry Sears, Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. John Douillard, Dr. David Katz and David Wolfe.
Margaret became interested in nutrition and wellness many years ago when her very young daughter was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. Because diabetes can cause many complications, she wanted to learn as much as possible about nutrition and what to feed her as well as what not to feed her. Also, she has a son with Celiac Disease (a gluten intolerance), so gluten free became a new way of eating in her house as well.
It is very difficult to have a healthy body with out a healthy mind. Heatlh and Nutrition Coaching is about incorporating the two in order to have a superior quality of life.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding bikes, walking her dog, ice hockey games, horse shows and reading. Margaret resides in Annapolis, where she has lived most of her life, with her two children and their loving yellow lab.
